Cancellation Policy

This Cancellation Policy applies to orders placed through Hcofurniture.co.uk.
Cancelling Before Dispatch
You may request to cancel an order before it has been dispatched.
To request a cancellation, contact us as soon as possible and provide:

Your order number.

The email address used to place the order.
We will try to stop the order before dispatch, but cancellation cannot be guaranteed once processing has begun.
If the order has already been dispatched, you may need to receive it and follow the return procedure described in our Returns and Refund Policy.
Cancelling After Delivery
For most eligible online orders, you may cancel your purchase within 14 days after receiving the order, without giving a reason.
To exercise your cancellation right, you must notify us clearly within the 14-day cancellation period.

After notifying us, you must return the order within a further 14 days.
Return Instructions
Do not send an order back before contacting us.
We will provide the correct return address and return instructions after reviewing your request.
Items should be securely packaged and returned with all included parts, accessories and instructions.
Return Shipping Costs
For a change-of-mind cancellation, the customer is responsible for the return shipping cost unless we agree otherwise.
We recommend using a tracked and insured delivery service. The customer remains responsible for the return until it reaches the designated return address.
If the order is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, we will cover reasonable return costs or provide an appropriate return method.
Refunds After Cancellation
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
We aim to process refunds within 3–5 business days after receiving the returned order or acceptable evidence that it has been sent.
In all cases, refunds will be processed within the timeframe required by applicable UK consumer law.
Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to display the refund in your account.
Delivery Charge Refunds
When an eligible entire order is cancelled, the standard delivery charge paid at checkout will also be refunded.
If you selected a more expensive delivery option, we may refund only the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option available.
Refund Deductions
We may make a reasonable deduction from the refund if the value of the returned item has been reduced because it was handled beyond what was reasonably necessary to inspect it.
A deduction may apply if the item is:

Used beyond reasonable inspection.

Damaged while in the customer’s possession.

Missing parts or accessories.

Returned in a condition that reduces its value.
These deductions do not apply to faults or damage that existed when the order was delivered.
Cancellation Exceptions
Unless faulty or not as described, cancellation rights may not apply to:

Items made to the customer’s specifications.

Clearly personalised items.

Sealed hygiene-sensitive items after the seal has been broken.

Perishable items or items that deteriorate quickly.

Items that become inseparably mixed with other goods after delivery.

Digital content supplied after the customer expressly agreed for delivery to begin and acknowledged the loss of cancellation rights.
Any relevant cancellation restriction will be clearly stated before the order is placed.
Refusing Delivery
Refusing delivery does not automatically complete a cancellation.
Please contact us before refusing an order whenever possible.
Reasonable costs resulting from an incorrect delivery address, repeated missed delivery or failure to collect an order may be deducted from the refund where legally permitted.
Faulty or Incorrect Orders
Cancellation rights for faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed orders are separate from change-of-mind cancellation rights.
